The Bridgehead Organisation

The Fund for Scientific Research - the research funding agency in charge of the basic research’s promotion in the French Community of Belgium - acts as the implementing agent of the EURAXESS sub network in Wallonia and Brussels. As such, it manages the coordination of every initiative undertaken under this umbrella. To assist it in its tasks, the rector’s conference (CRef) has set up three interuniversity groups dedicated to the management and the development of each of the EURAXESS missions i.e. Jobs, Services and rights.

The EURAXESS Jobs group

The EURAXESS Jobs Group’s main task is to identify an adapted strategy for the online publication of R&D job vacancies including a communication plan to raise the awareness of the publishing researchers and/or organisations. The members of the group are also responsible for the mapping of the grants and fellowships schemes available in their institutions and their online publication on the EURAXESS platform.

The EURAXESS Services group

The EURAXESS Services Group’s principal mission is to set up Service Centres in universities. These one-stop-shops are designed to provide tailor-made advices to mobile researchers. The members are also involved in the publication of legal information on the website.

The EURAXESS Rights group

The EURAXESS Rights Group’s activity aims to improve the researcher’s career and work environment by setting up HR strategies in R&D in the universities. These HR plans implement the principles laid down in the European Charter for researcher and the Code of conduct for their recruitment.
